The Technology
How Steam Distillation Works
The same process nature uses to make rain — evaporation, then condensation — leaving everything else behind.
Tap water in the boiling chamber is heated until it turns to steam.
Only water vapour crosses into the condensing coil — minerals, sediment, and other residue stay behind in the boiling chamber.
As the steam cools, it condenses back into pure water and collects in the carafe.
What's left behind in the boiling chamber tells the story — you can see and smell the residue that didn't make it into your glass.
