Understanding Negative Ions
Before getting into how the Sanimate™ works, it helps to understand what it's actually producing.
Negative ions are charged particles found in the air, most concentrated around moving water — waterfalls, ocean waves, and after a thunderstorm. Small, enclosed spaces with limited airflow, like a windowless washroom, naturally have far fewer of them.
The Sanimate™ uses a solid platinum emitter inside a corona discharge chamber to generate a continuous stream of negative ions in the room. These ions attach to airborne particles and everyday odours, giving them a charge so they settle out of the air rather than lingering.
This describes how ionization works as a physical process — not a health outcome or benefit.
