All Chromalux® full spectrum light bulbs contain neodymium glass which filters out yellow and other dulling frequencies of the light spectrum, resulting in purified light with enhanced violet, blue, green, and red tones. Both frosted and clear glass Chromalux® bulbs are made with our unique neodymium glass formulation. Neodymium is compounded into the glass itself and is never coated or painted on. This is part of what makes the light of Chromalux® so special.
Choose frosted glass for a softer, smoother feel.
Choose clear glass for a more vivid, "crisp" feel. Clear glass is a few lumens brighter than frosted. Use clear in covered or shaded lamps, as the filament will be visible.

Frosted glass = soft + smooth

A19 shape bulbs are not intended for use in recessed can light fixtures. Use a dedicated flood-shaped bulb instead (R30, etc.). Please note: Chromalux® is not a rough service light bulb and is not recommended for use in ceiling fans or locations that experience extra vibration.
Specifications
Please note that many of our bulbs are incandescent technology. Incandescent light bulbs emit heat, a completely normal function of their nourishing benefits and the infrared energy produced. This means you must wait a few minutes for the bulb to cool before attempting to unscrew or touch after use. If heat and healthy lighting aren't your thing, we suggest trying our LED bulbs instead.
